Junta Directiva (2006 - 2008)

Gift of Life -Regalo de Vida, El Salvador, is a Non-governmental Organization created in 1992 by a group of volunteers, united with the only one mission of giving back the health and with that, a good future to the Salvadoran children of very scarce resources with different kind of heart diseases and other pathologies that cannot be treated here in El Salvador.

With the co-participation of International Organizations, like Healing the Children, Rotary Gift of Life Inc., Medical Missions, Kinderherzen Retten, ev, and Children’s Chance; the Children hospital Benjamin Bloom, here has had the support with surgeries, machinery, and medications. Up to now we are counting with 28 of the most important hospitals from overseas that with united with some prominent surgeons have had their work in order to give a GIFT OF LIFE to more than 200 Salvadoran children.

Among all the children, the selection is made by the medical cardiologists from the Hospital Bloom who is the ones who know the requisites that have to be met; they send them to us in order to be in the list of the possible beneficiaries. Then is when we start our talks with the international organizations and then they consult in the United States in order to find the donation for the surgery, and this is the way how this group of people gets the hope of life for our children.

Since our organization was created, we have had as a goal to make good use of all the possibilities of support that we can get nationally or internationally in order to get the good health for our children and we know that we need to support them after surgery in order for them to take advantage of the Gift of Life that they have received.
